Simultaneously abstract and representational, like most visions, these paintings are sight reproduced, like most paintings.  Like an unfinished underpainting. These works give only impressions and capture the push and pull of light.

Amy-Jean Mitchell is a multidisciplinary artist based in Meanjin, Brisbane. Since completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) in 2020 she has participated in creative residencies and exhibited in group and solo shows. Her paintings are informed by photographs and sketches of natural, digital, and urban spaces, and aim to scrutinise the nature of image making.

Open Thursday and Friday 2-5pm, and Weekends 12-5pm. All other times by appointment.
